The Process:
This service will review a given enterprise server configuration and its state in terms of performance and utilisation. The following areas are reviewed in detail;

  • Overall Performance of the system(s).
  • CPU Performance.
  • Memory Performance.
  • I/O Performance.
  • AD performance.
  • All Storage and its usage.

The assessment is conducted initially through an onsite–planning meeting with performance specialists and the IT teams within your organisation. It is essential that key personnel are available during this process to ensure all information is captured efficiently and accurately.

Configuration data is then collected from the server and the software and scripts for data extraction are loaded. Performance data will then be collected from the system over a period of time. This is then analysed and formatted into a report.

Performance analysis deliverables
At the end of the analysis phase the findings will be reviewed and formatted into a full report. The report will be presented to you during a planned review meeting, usually within a week of the on site review. The report will highlight the following;

  • Existing servers, AD And Storage performance.
  • Specific areas of concern.
  • Immediate performance improvements
  • Recommendations
  • Process changes that may improve awareness of problems.
